Haupei

Well, family, my companion and I are moving houses. I honestly just couldn’t take having the mouse in the house. I just have a hard time sleeping because of it. Just kidding. But we really are moving. The lady that owns our house is being a pain in the bible. So we are just moving. We already found a nice house. So, hopefully, next Monday we will be moving in.  Today we had to clean our whole house and this cleaning lady came. She basically just made us clean it all. It took forever, but, oh well.  Mom, you would be proud; I scrubbed the bathroom like I had never done before. The lady was like trying to harvest as much as she could from us. That’s how people are here; they think we are rich. Like when we put our trash out, everyone goes through it to look for things they can have. But yeah, I’m excited to get away from that mouse. I saw it like 3 times this week. I’m fine, until I see it. Gee.

So this week was pretty normal for my companion and I. It cooled down a lot this week! Which was so nice! I barely sweat this week – it felt goooood.  One night it was cooler, so we made this stuff called mate dulce. It is soooo good! I can’t wait to make it for you when I get home! So good! We also made a cake with a member yesterday! Mmm. The members are funny - they don’t know how to cook out of the box, so we had to go make the cake for her. But it was good.

So there is this cool sport here called PK Volleyball. They actually play it a lot and volleyball too. PK Volleyball is sweet to watch them play. It’s the same as normal volleyball, but you can’t use your hands. It looks fun.

As for investigators, Juliana totally quit drinking. She gets sick when she thinks about it and she is so excited for her baptism on the 7th! It’s been so cool to see her life change. She is a totally new person; she is so much more happy. And now that she stopped drinking, her daughters came back home and are living with her again. It’s been way cool to see her go from bottom and rise up.  Our other investigator, Christian, is progressing, but needs to come to church! But he can’t because of work. He finally built up enough faith to ask his boss this week and his boss said no, in a rude way. It was way disappointing, but I know it will all work out! His wife and son always come to church though. (Or I guess his girlfriend) They are such an awesome family. I love teaching them.

As for my companion and me, it seems that as the days go by, we just laugh more and more. We have a good time and its enjoyable. I get along with all the Elders here. It’s been sweet.

As for the storm you guys heard about, it didn’t hit my area hard. It’s just rained really hard and there was a lot of wind, so our power went out for a bit. So don’t worry, mom! I’m all good! Sorry, I don’t have much to say today. And I need to get better at taking pictures. The picture is of the inside of the bus we ride. They are always way decorated and funny inside. So classic. So, ummm... yeah. I’m doing great family and I love you! I hope you are all visiting the temple often and what not. Life is good in Paraguay. The people make me laugh. They are all really surprised when I understand them. Some people tell me that every time they look at me they just want to laugh, because they say I’m always doing something silly. But I have no idea what they are talking about. Maybe it’s my face when I can’t understand or, gosh, I don’t know. The people here are so classic.

Well, I don’t have much more to say.. I can’t believe I have been in Paraguay a month. It’s going by fast. Um. Also, I wish to say my goodbyes to the lobster (Our little red car). I hope it’s in good hands. I will miss it, but, I think I will be happier with a nice new truck that you guys buy when I get home ;) Eh? Ya? laters.
